A little bit about the role...
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Design and implement system architecture that supports service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles, utilizing tools such as Pegasystems and AWS.
Conduct systems engineering tasks, including system design, administration, and optimization of IT infrastructure.
Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.
Implement load balancing strategies and ensure robust computer networking practices are followed.
Manage databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server while ensuring data integrity and security.
Utilize scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), and Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies to deliver projects efficiently.
Ensure information security measures are in place across all systems, including the management of firewalls and VPNs.
Engage in DevOps practices to streamline deployment processes using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git.
Support virtualization technologies such as VMware and ESXi to optimize resource utilization within the IT environment.
Qualifications
Proficiency in operating systems including Windows and Linux environments.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases and RESTful APIs for system integration.
Understanding of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management of microservices architectures.
Experience with DNS, DHCP, load balancing techniques, and firewall configurations is highly desirable.
Knowledge of solution architecture principles is a plus, along with hands-on experience in system administration tasks.
