Building SurveyorLocation: Dorchester, DorsetContract: Temporary (3-6 months)Rate: £400-£500 per day (DOE)Hours: 37 hours per weekThe OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a Local Authority team supporting a diverse property portfolio across Dorset.This is a hands-on role focused on delivering maintenance, compliance, and capital works projects, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.This opportunity would suit a proactive and experienced Surveyor who is confident managing projects, contractors, and stakeholders within a public sector or housing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver planned and reactive maintenance programmesEnsure compliance and safety across property assetsManage capital repair and refurbishment projectsOversee contractors and project deliveryManage budgets, procurement, and contractsMaintain accurate property and performance dataCollaborate with internal teams and external partnersRequirementsWe are looking for candidates with:Experience working as a Building Surveyor or similar roleStrong experience delivering repairs, maintenance, or capital works programmesExperience managing contractors, budgets, and procurement processesGood knowledge of property compliance and maintenance standardsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience working within a Local Authority, housing, or public sector environment (desirable)Relevant qualification (degree or ..... full job details .....
