The purpose of this role is to create a robust schedule to control the supply of components/materials whilst meeting business needs (cost, throughput, customer service) and managing risks. Production planners are responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule and production orders for different work centers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing best practices to ensure on-time delivery of vehicles.What You’ll Be Doing

Managing production plan and orders in ERP [Enterprise Resource Planning] systemTo ensure production plan delivers the PTS planCollaborate with the manufacturing, engineering, and Supplier capacity planners to ensure the availability of materials and resources necessary to meet production planMonitor production performance and adjust the production schedule as necessary to ensure on-time delivery of vehiclesConverting Planned into Production orders – ensure delivery dates are met, supply lead times respected, production constraints are not broken and level demand where possible. Analyse demand patterns and production constraintsTrack aged WIP in the factory process against required PTS dates and communicate with production and factory planner where requiredWhat We’re Looking For

Apprentices able to pay close attention to detail and have a continuous improvement mindset. Strong communication skills are essential to build relationships at all levels. You should be studious, responsible, and reliable, thriving on involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.3 A Levels at Grade B or above, including Maths or a Distinction in a BTEC National Engineering subjectAble to attend the Aston University by personal transportWhy Choose Aston Martin?
