Develop and implement strategic plans/initiatives for the Non-Perishable category that align with the overall business objectives, sales targets, and customer demands.Monitor supplier service levels on a day-to-day basis to ensure in-full and on-time delivery of high quality products.Utilise data analysis, historical sales trends, and market insights to support demand forecasting for Non-Perishable items and create replenishment plans accordingly.Implement inventory management strategies to minimise stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and maintain optimal inventory turnover for Non-Perishable products.Establish and monitor quality control standards to ensure that all Non-Perishable products meet the company’s quality criteria before reaching the shelves.Implement measures to minimise product waste and shrinkage, continuously monitoring expiration dates and handling damaged products efficiently.Work closely with the Marketing/Merchandising team to plan promotions, seasonal offerings, and special campaigns for the Non-Perishable category.Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, food safety standards, and health regulations governing the handling and storage of Non-Perishable goods.Utilise supply chain analytics and data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the Non-Perishable category supply chain.Develop contingency plans and response strategies to address supply chain disruptions caused by unforeseen events such as natural disasters or transportation challenges.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Proven experience (4–5 years) in supply chain management, preferably in a retail environment, with a focus on Non-Perishable categories.In-depth knowledge of supply chain dynamics, including vendor management and quality control processes.Strong numerical and analytical skills, adept at using data to make informed decisions and optimise supply chain operations.Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Familiarity with supply chain software and technology (SQL, Python) is a plus.Benefits
