Freelance Sub Agent - Wastewater Project (Near Solihull)

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Sub Agent to join our team on a wastewater infrastructure project located just outside of Solihull.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Site Agent with the delivery of the project, ensuring that works are completed safely, to programme, and in line with quality standards. You will be responsible for managing site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist the Site Agent in the planning and delivery of site activities.
• 
  Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour.
• 
  Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
• 
  Support the preparation of risk assessments, method statements, and quality documentation.
• 
  Monitor progress and report regularly to senior management.
• 
  Promote a strong health & safety culture on site.

Requirements:

• 
  Proven experience as a Sub Agent (or Senior Engineer ready to step up) within the water/wastewater or civil engineering sectors.
• 
  Strong knowledge of site management, health & safety, and quality assurance.
• 
  SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (preferred).
• 
  Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
