Sub Agent

Carmichael UK is currently recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways project in Norfolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile infrastructure scheme within a well-established delivery team.

The successful candidate will support the management and coordination of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the day-to-day management of site activities and subcontractors
• Supporting the delivery of highways works in line with programme and budget
• Ensuring health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained
• Managing site documentation, permits, RAMS, and progress reporting
• Coordinating engineering and construction activities across work packages
• Liaising with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Sub Agent on highways or major infrastructure projects
• Strong background delivering highways works including drainage, earthworks, structures, or surfacing
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors preferred
• Good understanding of NEC contracts and project delivery processes
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• SMSTS and CSCS certification essential
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred
