Student Support Specialist Job Title: Student SupportSpecialist Location: North London Salary: 130 Pounds per day ( depending on your experience ) Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time / Temporary or Permanent About the Role We are seeking a motivated and supportive Student Support Specialist to work with learners across a range of programmes, helping them overcome barriers to learning, improve their academic performance, and achieve their personal and educational goals. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small group support, focusing on attendance, engagement, literacy, numeracy, study skills, wellbeing, and personal development. You will play a key role in motivating learners, building confidence, and supporting positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one coaching and mentoring to support learner achievement and progression. Support learners to develop literacy, numeracy, study, and organisational skills. Monitor learner progress, attendance, punctuality, and engagement. Identify barriers to learning and develop strategies to support success. Work with learners to set targets and create action plans to achieve their goals. Support students with confidence building, resilience, motivation, and personal development. Liaise with curriculum staff, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate. Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to progress reviews.
