Position Description

The Temporary Retail Store Manager operates in London (two store locations) in the (MALIN+GOETZ) freestanding store portfolio. Reporting to the National Retail Manager, the Retail Store Manager has accountability for the performance of the stores in their cluster as well as the day-to-day operations of the business.Responsibilities

Sales

Under the direction of the National Retail Manager, support in driving the business to hit day-to-day sales goals.With a grasp on the long-term objectives, proactively strive to reach the company targets by motivating the teams each day and ensuring everyone is aware of the objectives.Maintain awareness of store performance by tracking daily, weekly and monthly goals as well as personal KPIs for each team member including average spend and sign-up rate.Take a lead in driving the latest company launches and promotions/offers.Create and recognise marketing and promotional opportunities to increase brand awareness and sales.Report observations on in-store trends, business opportunities, customer profile, and training opportunities for the store team; develop opinions on how best to drive the business forward.Customer Service

Reinforce store customer service protocols: greet customers, assess needs, sample strategically.Respond to customer questions by recommending an appropriate routine or product to meet their needs based on company product information and guidance.Effectively sample the customer with other products to further build their regimen.Demonstrate excellent leadership, organisational, communication and customer service skills.Acknowledge and adapt communication and sales approaches to distinct personalities to keep the team motivated and focused.Provide engaging product demonstrations and consultations for skincare products and fragrances.Build a personal network of clients, fostering loyalty and maintaining regular communication through email and phone outreach.Develop new and creative strategies to obtain additional business from present and prospective customers.Plan and prioritise tasks, especially when working between locations.Store Maintenance and Procedures

Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours.Process sales and transactions, operate the till system with speed and accuracy.Ensure adherence to company policies including absence, returns, banking, inventory and reporting.Maintain high standards of cleanliness and merchandising within the store environment.Follow company guidelines for personal grooming and dress.Establish and maintain relationships with support departments and external agencies.Ensure availability of merchandise and inventory to support sales goals.Maintain accurate inventory records and implement controls for inventory movements.Perform inventory counts to coordinate stock orders with the office.Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and loss prevention techniques.Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean environment and following company handbook policies.Communicate in a timely manner with Senior Office Management when issues arise that may affect store operations.Marketing

Review and execute merchandising directives, visual displays, and other in-store activations supporting promotions or holiday events.Coordinate with the Digital and Marketing Executive to support local marketing/web initiatives on social media (competitions, launches, partnerships).Cultivate relationships within the neighbourhood for cross-promotional, marketing and amenity opportunities.Qualifications

A proven track record in retail sales, preferably with experience in beauty and customer service.Beauty experience is preferred.Strong computer knowledge, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent verbal communication skills.Excellent organisational skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated.Managerial or supervisory experience required.(MALIN+GOETZ) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
