Stock Control Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and data-driven Stock control Manager-to join our growing manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious supply chain professional to take ownership of stock control, inventory management, and goods movement across the business, with a clear pathway into a future Operations Management role.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Stock control Manager-will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and finished products through the organisation while driving improvements in stock accuracy, planning, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of stock control and inventory management.
• Oversee all goods-in and goods-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels across multiple product lines.
• Utilise and optimise MRP systems to support production planning and stock availability.
• Work closely with purchasing, production, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.
• Analyse stock movements and generate reports to support operational decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy, reduce waste, and enhance operational processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reporting to the Operations Director.
• Lead stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
• As the Stock control Manager you will support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain function.

About You

• Proven experience in a Stock Control, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or Materials Planning role.
• Strong background within a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Excellent understanding and practical experience of MRP systems.
• Data-driven with strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Advanced Excel and systems proficiency.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A proactive problem solver who enjoys improving processes and delivering results.
