Stock Condition Surveyor
Our client is a well-established, multi-disciplinary property consultancy delivering Building Surveying, Project Management and consultancy services across the education, public and private sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Stock Condition Surveyor to join their expanding team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out stock condition surveys across a varied portfolio of predominantly education properties throughout Oxford, Cambridge and the surrounding areas. This is a remote role with regular site visits, offering excellent autonomy and the opportunity to join a growing consultancy with strong long-term career prospects.

Salary -40,000 - -50,000 DOE (salary open to discussion for the right candidate)

Stock Condition Surveyor Job Overview
Undertake detailed stock condition surveys across education, public sector and commercial properties
Inspect internal and external building elements, identifying defects, deterioration and maintenance requirements
Assess the condition of building components and apply condition, priority and lifecycle ratings
Produce accurate survey reports, photographic records and recommendations for repair or replacement
Collect and record survey data using tablets and specialist asset management software
Support planned maintenance programmes, lifecycle planning and capital investment reporting
Review existing property information, drawings and asset registers before undertaking surveys
Escalate significant defects, compliance concerns and health & safety issues where appropriate
Liaise professionally with clients, site representatives and stakeholders throughout the survey process
Travel regularly to client sites across Oxford, Cambridge and the surrounding areas
Stock Condition Surveyor Job Requirements
Previous experience undertaking Stock Condition Surveys, Building Condition Surveys or similar property inspections
Relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Architectural Technology, Property or similar, or equivalent industry experience
Good understanding of building construction, common defects and planned maintenance
Experience producing clear technical reports and accurately recording survey data
Competent using Microsoft Office and digital surveying or asset management software
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel regularly
Desirable
Experience surveying education or wider public sector estates
Experience using specialist stock condition or asset management software
Knowledge of planned maintenance and lifecycle reporting
Membership of, or working towards, RICS or CIOB
