Tradewind Recruitment in Whitstable are working with a number of primary, secondary and specialist SEN schools across Thanet and the surrounding areas, recruiting enthusiastic Sports Teaching Assistants to support pupils both in the classroom and through PE and physical activities.

Whether you''re a recent Sports graduate, a qualified coach, fitness instructor or someone with experience leading sports activities, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to children''s education whilst developing a career within schools.

The Role

As a Sports Teaching Assistant, you''ll play an important role in supporting pupils throughout the school day by:

• Supporting teaching and learning across a range of classroom subjects.
• Delivering small group interventions to improve pupils'' confidence and engagement.
• Assisting with PE lessons, sports sessions and outdoor learning activities.
• Encouraging teamwork, resilience and positive behaviour through sport.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs.
• Building positive relationships and acting as a positive role model.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

We''re Looking For

We''re keen to hear from candidates with experience in:

• Sports coaching.
• Personal training or fitness instruction.
• Football, rugby, cricket, athletics, gymnastics or other sports coaching.
• Holiday clubs or activity camps.
• Youth work or mentoring.
• Teaching, coaching or leading children''s activities.

You will ideally have:

• A passion for working with children and young people.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• The ability to motivate and inspire pupils.
• A willingness to support learning both inside and outside the classroom.
• Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
