About the RoleAs a Sports Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging theory-based lessons that develop student''s understanding of anatomy, physiology, bio mechanics, psychology, and training principles. You will support learners in applying scientific concepts to sport and physical performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver high-quality Sports Science / PE theory lessonsTeach topics such as anatomy and physiology, fitness testing, and sports psychologySupport GCSE PE and A-Level / BTEC Sport qualificationsAssess, track, and report on student progressDevelop student''s analytical and research skills in sportContribute to curriculum planning within PE and Sport departmentsSupport enrichment activities, workshops, and sports-related eventsAbout YouQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not always essential for post-16)Degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related subjectStrong subject knowledge in sport and exercise scienceAbility to deliver engaging, academically focused lessonsGood communication and classroom management skillsCommitment to safeguarding and student well beingWillingness to contribute to wider school and sixth form lifeSafeguarding StatementThe school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
