Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust .The post is primarily based at Langley Green Hospital within a friendly, supportive Pharmacy team that is expanding due to recent investments. This role offers opportunities to develop the service to inpatient wards and urgent care in a collaborative, holistic and accessible therapeutic environment.If you are enthusiastic about improving the lives of patients needing mental healthcare, this role as a Specialist Pharmacist in our Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Trust could be right for you. The role focuses on inpatient and rehab teams across Northwest Sussex and involves working within a specialist mental health service with a strong medicines focus.Responsibilities
Provide a clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service to ensure patients get the best from their medicines.Contribute to medicines education and training so that patients, pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals manage medicines safely, effectively and cost-efficiently.Offer high quality pharmacotherapeutic advice through appraisal of clinical evidence to support colleagues in a multidisciplinary setting.Work with inpatient services that interface with community services and primary care to ensure safe transitions and medicines safety.Engage in on-call arrangements for advice (on-call rota is currently more than 1 in 30 weeks; Senior support provided; only band 7 and above on rota).Continue professional development with opportunities to undertake external training (including the introductory College of Mental Health Pharmacy Psych1 and Psych2 programmes).What you can expect
