If you are looking for a permanent position and get on well, they will look to take you on a temp to perm contract so please only apply if you are ultimately looking for a permanent position.To be considered for this position you MUST have GCSE C or above in English and Maths, or level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths.The position is full-time, term-time - Mon-Fri 8.45am-3.15pm.They are looking for a hardworking and resilient Special School Assistant who is able to build positive relationships with young people. Someone who can support, motivate and encourage the children with their learning and act as a positive role model. If you are looking for a rewarding and satisfying job, this role is for you. The school in Southampton caters for pupils aged 4-11 with complex learning difficulties including autism, speech and language disorders and challenging behaviours. All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful Special School Assistant will ideally have had experience of working with children within a school setting.
