Solicitor - Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts
This role is responsible for managing a personal caseload of Wills, Probate, Tax and Trust matters whilst also supporting on more complex matters with senior members of the team. Responsible for liaising directly with clients and ensuring a high level of client care is provided at all times. This role reports directly to the Head of Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts. Key Responsibilities for the Solicitor in Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts Manage a varied caseload of Wills, Probate, Tax and Trust matters that will include: Providing general advice to clients on all aspects of Wills, Probate, Tax and Trust processes. Preparing lasting powers of attorney. Preparing deputyship orders. Dealing with estate administration. Advising on risks of death, divorce or bankruptcy in respect of lifetime gifting. Advising on obtaining grants of probate. Advising on letters of administration. Settling estate liabilities. Administering estates in accordance with the correct procedures. Obtaining deputyship orders from the Court of Protection as required. Acting on behalf of court-appointed deputies. As well as managing a personal caseload of WPTT matters, this role is responsible for supporting on more complex matters alongside senior members of the team. Ensure matters are kept up to date in systems and new advancements are communicated to the relevant team members. Record all time in the Tikit system, including non-billable activities.
