About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Solderer to join a dynamic production team in Basildon. This hands-on role focuses on Second Stage operations, including Through Hole soldering and SMT re-work, supporting the manufacture of high-quality PCBs. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where precision and quality are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Hand soldering of conventional components to IPC Class 2 standards (Class 3 knowledge is a plus)
- Re-working SMT and conventional components
- Reading and interpreting work packs and product specifications
- Inspecting finished work and resolving defects
- Pre-forming components and accurate product labelling
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in hand soldering within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and ESD control
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions
- A proactive, flexible team player with good communication skills
- Physically fit for manual handling and able to work on your feet
