Position: Social Worker

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £35,235 – £39,513 per annum + £5,000 market rate supplement + £10,000 welcome payment (subject to guidance) + full benefits package
Location: Hereford

Herefordshire County Council are looking for experienced Social Workers to join their Duty and Assessment Service. This is a fast-paced frontline service where no two days are the same, providing an opportunity to make a real difference at the first point of contact with children and families. Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Undertake duty and assessment work for children and families referred to the service
-
Complete timely child and family assessments in line with statutory timescales
-
Identify risks, needs and protective factors to inform decision making and planning
-
Work with children, parents and carers to create effective plans that ensure safety and wellbeing
-
Manage a varied caseload, prioritising effectively in a high-paced environment
-
Prepare reports and present evidence for court and child protection conferences
-
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including schools, health and police
Requirements:
-
SWE Registration
-
Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
-
Post-qualified experience within assessment, safeguarding or frontline services
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical and decision-making skills
-
Experience of multi-agency working and attending statutory meetings
-
