We’re looking for acreative, organised, and digital-savvy Social Media Manager to lead our content strategy and storytelling across platforms - particularly Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok. You’ll help us shape the public voice and visual identity of BPF, grow our following, and build a highly engaged digital community.This role is ideal for someone who combines creative flair with strategic thinking, and has a genuine interest in diaspora communities, identity, and culture.Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and Design:Design and produce eye-catching, on-brand content for all social media platforms.Lead the creation of graphics, short-form video (Reels/TikToks), motion graphics, and visual assets.Maintain a consistent and recognisable visual identity across all digital channels.Develop and execute a weekly/monthly content calendar aligned with BPF’s strategic goals.Track and report on social media performance (engagement rates, follower growth, reach, etc.).Adapt content based on platform trends, algorithm changes, and audience behaviour.Campaigns and Paid Media:·Plan and manage paid campaigns across all social media platforms.Optimise media spend and track ROI using analytics tools.Storytelling and Community Engagement:Craft compelling narratives that reflect the lived experiences and aspirations of the British Pakistani community.Engage meaningfully with our digital audience via DMs, comments, reposts, and user-generated content.Newsletter and Email Marketing:Create engaging monthly newsletter content with the team.Manage subscriber database and track open/click-through rates.Administrative Support:Take minutes during meetings, prepare agendas, and record action points.Support scheduling, internal communications, and follow-ups with team members and partners.Assist with content scheduling and file management.Success Will Be Measured By:Growth in followers, reach, and engagement rates across social media platformsImpact of paid campaigns (CTR, conversions, cost-per-action)Quality and consistency of content outputNewsletter open and engagement ratesPositive community sentiment and feedbackDelivery of admin and team support tasks on timeIdeal Candidate Will Have:Proven experience managing social media accounts, especially Instagram and TikTokStrong design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similarAbility to shoot and edit short-form video content (Reels/TikToks)Experience in paid media planning and optimisationExcellent copywriting and storytelling skillsStrong organisational skills for admin, scheduling, and team coordinationA proactive, self-motivated mindsetUnderstanding of the British Pakistani community or wider diaspora culture (preferred but not essential)Qualifications:Degree in Marketing, Design, Media, or a related field (preferred but not essential)Minimum 2 years of experience in social media content creation and digital marketingWhat We Offer:£16–£22 per hour (depending on experience, paid monthly, pro-rata)Flexible hybrid working (remote, with occasional in-person meetings in London)Travel costs covered for relevant in-person eventsTraining and onboarding providedOpportunity to be part of a growing, mission-led teamBPF is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
