Our client based in Swindon are looking for an experienced SMT Technician to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong SMT experience who is looking for a hands-on role within a busy electronics manufacturing environment.

SMT Technician Roles and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate SMT production equipment
• Carry out machine set-ups, changeovers and adjustments
• Program and operate SMT machinery
• Load components and feeders correctly
• Monitor production runs and ensure quality standards are maintained
• Identify and resolve basic machine and production issues
• Carry out visual inspection of PCBs and components
• Complete rework and soldering where required
• Work from engineering drawings, production instructions and BOMs
• Maintain accurate production records

SMT Technician Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working within an SMT/electronics manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes and equipment
• Experience with SMT machine set-up and changeovers
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation
• Good understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly
• Soldering and rework experience would be advantageous

SMT Technician Working Hours:

• Monday - Thursday, 07:45 - 16:15
• Friday, 07:45 - 15:15
