Role: CNC Sliding Head MachinistSalary: Up to 40,000 depending on experienceLocation: Bristol We are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Sliding Head Machinist to join a busy manufacturing environment in Bristol. The company specialises in the manufacture of high-precision components for demanding industries, where quality, accuracy and attention to detail are essential. As a CNC Sliding Head Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating sliding head CNC machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards. Responsibilities include:Setting and operating CNC sliding head machinesProducing small, complex and high-precision componentsReading and working from engineering drawingsSelecting and setting toolingCarrying out tool changes and offsetsInspecting components using a range of measuring equipmentMaking adjustments to ensure components meet drawing specificationsWorking to tight tolerances and maintaining consistent qualityCompleting relevant production and quality documentationWorking closely with colleagues across production and quality Skills and experience:Previous experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machineryExperience working from engineering drawingsGood knowledge of cutting tools, tooling and offsetsExperience using inspection and measuring equipmentA strong understanding of CNC machining processesExcellent attention to detailA methodical approach to quality and productionThe ability to work ..... full job details .....
