Wates Group .The vacancy is with Wates within the Reactive Division. You will be based at the Streatham office on repairs and voids contracts. The role focuses on producing the commercial outputs, monitoring and exercising cost control, and liaising with client representatives to ensure compliance with contractual service standards and to support efficient and profitable operations.Responsibilities
Develop and encourage project team performance to ensure Wates’ contractual obligations and strategies are executed and regularly reviewedComplete and submit monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and progress reportsDemonstrate understanding of internal and external tender strategies, build-up, and work to the profit planAgree external valuations and cash flow to maximise project valueWork with the Commercial Manager to agree and produce main and subcontract final accountsEnsure all Wates subcontract management and process obligations are complete with reference to Procurement, Measurement and valuation, Contractual instructions/notices/orders, and Health and SafetyWe are looking for
Someone with financial and commercial awareness and a clear commitment to a customer-centred service. To be successful in the role you will have relevant commercial skills and experience including the ability to maximise value recovery, cost control, and cash management, as well as effectively use and understand financial reports and software. You should be a confident communicator able to develop relationships with the client, Project Surveyors, internal team, and supply chain. The role is based between the office and site, with some home working.Given the nature of this position, a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) will be required at offer stage.
