SITE MANAGER - NIGHT SHIFTS - CONDUCTING CEILING INSPECTIONS / SURVEYS

A leading specialist contractor is looking for experienced Site Manager / Site Supervisor with a strong background in Interior Systems and ceilings to join their team, working on ceiling surveys for major supermarket clients around Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, North London, and Oxfordshire. NVQ 2 in Interior Systems - Ceiling Fixing is ESSENTIAL

The role will involve working on project sites depending on your home location in the mentioned areas. Carrying out ceiling and interior systems surveys and assessing existing installations to identify any works required.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working Night Shifts - Mon to Thurs 10 PM to 5 AM and Sundays 4 PM to 5 AM (NOT Friday or Saturdays) and will have a strong understanding of suspended ceilings and associated interior systems.

• Site Manager / Supervisor will carry out surveys and inspections of existing ceiling and interior systems within retail stores.
• Assess the condition of suspended ceilings, ceiling grids, tiles, bulkheads and associated systems.
• Take accurate measurements, photographs and detailed site notes.
• Identify areas requiring repair, replacement or refurbishment.
• Complete survey reports, schedules and associated documentation.
• Liaise with clients, store managers and site teams.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with RAMS and company procedures.
• Where required, supervise ceiling/interior systems installation teams and subcontractors.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality.
• Travel between multiple retail sites within the required geographical area.
• Be prepared to work night shifts.

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience within Interior Systems / ceilings - ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, Ceiling Supervisor or Interior Systems Supervisor.
• Strong experience with suspended ceilings and ceiling systems.
• Previous experience working within retail fitout/refurb projects preferred.
• Good understanding of construction site procedures and health & safety.
• Ability to carry out surveys, take measurements and accurately record site information.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently when visiting sites.
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• First Aid
• CSCS card (min. Blue Card)
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Interior Systems / Suspended Ceilings / related trade would be highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based within approximately 50 miles of Potton, Bedfordshire.
• Flexibility to travel between retail sites and work night shifts.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ceiling / Interior Systems Site Manager or Supervisor to join an established specialist contractor working on a long-term programme of retail projects.

The role will suit someone who has progressed from an Interior Systems / Ceiling trade background into a supervisory or management position and who is confident carrying out site surveys and managing works within live retail environments.

NVQ 2 in Interior Systems / ceiling experience is essential.
