Site Manager – M&S Fit Out (Freelance)

Location: Edinburgh
Contract: Freelance, immediate start until April 2027
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm

Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a well-established fit out contractor for an experienced Site Manager to deliver a Marks & Spencer CAT B fit out project in Edinburgh.
This is a freelance role running through to April, offering steady work on a high-profile retail scheme with a contractor that has a strong track record with M&S.

The role

• Take day-to-day responsibility for running site, coordinating subcontractors and keeping the programme on track while maintaining the high standards of health, safety and quality M&S expects
• Working closely with the Project Manager and client team, you'll manage site logistics, inductions, RAMS reviews, progress reporting and quality checks through to handover.
• As many M&S projects run in live trading environments, you'll need to manage works carefully around store operations, staff and customers.

What you'll need

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on M&S fit out or refurbishment projects
• A solid background in retail fit out, ideally within live store environments
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS card and current First Aid at Work certificate
