What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be right at the heart of delivery — not stuck behind paperwork — supporting key sections of works on site and working closely with senior engineers and site management.

• Setting out and surveying for major works packages
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings and specifications
• Supporting quality assurance and maintaining high standards on site
• Assisting with RAMS and safe systems of work
• Coordinating subcontractors and day-to-day site activities
• Keeping accurate records and tracking progress
• Getting involved in solving real engineering challenges on complex RC and marine works

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll be trusted and relied upon.

About You

You don’t need to tick every box — but you should feel confident operating on a live civils site.

• Experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
• Solid setting out and quality control knowledge
• Exposure to reinforced concrete (ideal)
• Marine or large infrastructure experience (a bonus, not essential)
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
• Based locally to Plymouth (or able to work there)
• Able to obtain SC Clearance
