Senior Site Engineer

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Highways Site Engineer to support the delivery of construction works across sites in Devon. The role involves providing technical and engineering support to site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with drawings, specifications, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret drawings and specifications and communicate requirements clearly to site teams.
• Support the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, permits, environmental procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans.
• Provide engineering support to resolve technical issues and manage technical queries.
• Mentor and support Site Engineers, including setting out, benchmarks, and instrument calibration compliance.
• Assist with sketches, change management, subcontractor checks, and procedural updates.
• Maintain daily site diaries, progress tracking, and support material and service procurement.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems at all times.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience in a similar Site Engineer role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
