Site Engineer

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure programme at Birmingham Airport, supporting the delivery of key civil engineering works within a live operational environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and technically competent engineer with strong setting out and quality assurance experience to join an established delivery team on a high-profile project. Whilst previous airfield experience would be advantageous, candidates from highways, rail, infrastructure and general civil engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The Role As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out, quality control and engineering support across a range of light civils and concrete works packages. You will work closely with site management, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required specification. Key Responsibilities Carry out setting out and surveying activities across site works using GPS and Total Station equipment. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements. Prepare, implement and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Undertake quality assurance checks and maintain accurate site records. Support the delivery of concrete and light civil engineering works packages.
