Site Engineer

About the Role Location: Peterborough Rate: £350 per day IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure and civil engineering works. This role is responsible for ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, accurately, and in accordance with design specifications, quality requirements, and programme objectives. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, the Site Engineer will play a vital role in coordinating site activities, providing technical support, maintaining compliance, and driving efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage and support Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers, and other technical team members on site. Ensure works are correctly set out and that all required permits and approvals are in place before activities commence. Carry out and review site surveys, records, and as-built information as required. Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, and supply chain partners to coordinate site activities and ensure compliance with safe systems of work. Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, production records, and photographic evidence. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, raising queries and identifying potential issues where necessary.
