The Role We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at a large hospital estate in Newcastle. This is a site-based position responsible for the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair of a wide range of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment throughout a busy healthcare environment. Key responsibilities will include: Service, maintenance and fault finding on split systems, VRV/VRF systems, chillers and commercial refrigeration equipment. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across critical and non-critical hospital areas. Diagnosing and repairing equipment breakdowns to minimise operational downtime. Undertaking small installation and remedial works where required. Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring compliance with statutory and site-specific regulations. Supporting the wider engineering team in maintaining the hospital''s mechanical services infrastructure. Participating in the site''s call-out rota.
