Site Assistant - Aylesbury

Are you a reliable, practical and proactive Site Assistant looking for a rewarding role within education? An Outstanding specialist academy in Aylesbury is seeking a dedicated Site Assistant to join the team from September on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a welcoming and supportive school community where you''ll play a vital role in ensuring the site remains safe, secure and well-maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.

Site Assistant Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs across the school site.
• Open and lock the premises, ensuring the site remains secure.
• Complete routine health and safety checks and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with room layouts, furniture movement and school events.
• Monitor contractors and support with planned maintenance works.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation around the grounds.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues as they arise.
• Support the wider school team with general site duties.

The Ideal Site Assistant Will Have

• Previous experience as a Site Assistant, Caretaker, Premises Officer or Facilities Assistant (desirable).
• Good DIY and practical maintenance skills.
• An understanding of health and safety within a working environment.
• The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• A positive, flexible and hardworking attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
