Site Assistant / Gateman

Rubicon Consulting-is currently recruiting for a Site Assistant / Gateman on a 6 month contract based Stevenage.

Role Summary

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a-Site Assistant / Gateman-to support works on a-400kV substation project-in the Stevenage area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a major infrastructure project, providing site access control and general site support while ensuring all personnel entering site comply with site procedures and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Control access to and from the site, ensuring only authorised personnel enter.
• Check and verify personnel authorisations and site documentation.
• Maintain accurate site access and visitor records.
• Assist with site inductions and signing in/out procedures.
• Support the Site Manager with general site administration and logistics.
• Monitor deliveries and coordinate access for suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained around the site entrance and welfare areas.
• Promote and maintain high health, safety and environmental standards.
• Liaise with site teams to ensure smooth day-to-day site operations.

Requirements:

• Competent Person (CP) Authorisation
• NSI 8
• Previous experience working on-400kV substation projects.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage site procedures and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• Previous experience as a-Gateman, Site Assistant, Site Marshal, Traffic Marshal or Site Administrator-on high-voltage infrastructure projects.
• CSCS Card.
• First Aid qualification.
• Fire Marshal qualification.
