Site Agent - Civils / Shaft Works
Location: Near HMP Channings Wood, Newton Abbot, Devon
Duration: Approx. 3 months
Start Date: ASAP

Our client is looking for an experienced Site Agent for an upcoming civils project in Newton Abbot, Devon. The works will involve sinking a 7.5m diameter shaft and associated civil works. This is a 3-month contract with a January/early February start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver task briefings and toolbox talks

• Prepare, review and brief RAMS

• Carry out site safety and environmental audits

• Maintain site records, diaries and QA documentation

• Monitor programme and produce fortnightly look-ahead plans

• Manage materials and plant, ensuring timely delivery and off-hire

• Conduct regular site safety walks

• Liaise daily with the client and Contracts Manager

• Coordinate with the Site Foreman on daily requirements

• Check and sign off temporary works

• Capture and manage site progress photos

Requirements:

• SMSTS (or IOSHH 5day construction management)

• Ideally 1st aider

• Temp works supervisor

• Ideally confined spaces trained (Medium risk) but not essential

• Computer literate in Microsoft word, excel etc.

• Experienced in heavy civils & ideally in tunnelling.
