The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Site Agent to take full ownership of a major work package on a flagship marine civil engineering project in Britain’s Ocean City.
This is a nationally significant infrastructure scheme involving complex reinforced concrete and heavy civils works within a highly challenging marine environment. It’s a role for someone who thrives on responsibility — leading from the front, driving programme, and taking full accountability for delivery.
If you’re ready to step into a role where your decisions directly shape project success, this is a standout opportunity.

The Business

Our client is a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong track record across marine, water, environmental infrastructure, and energy sectors.
They are known for delivering complex, high-value schemes for major public and private sector clients, with a reputation built on quality, precision, and long-term relationships.
This is a business where expectations are high — and strong leadership is recognised and rewarded.

The Role

As Site Agent, you’ll take full responsibility for the safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of a defined section of works. You’ll lead multidisciplinary site teams, ensuring all activities are delivered to programme, budget, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking full operational control of a major work package
  • Leading Senior Engineers, Section Engineers, and site teams
  • Managing subcontractors and specialist supply chain partners
  • Driving short-term planning and programme performance
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the client and attending progress meetings
  • Overseeing health & safety compliance and maintaining high site standards
  • Reviewing and approving RAMS
  • Working closely with commercial teams on cost control, reporting, and forecasting
  • Identifying and mitigating delivery risks proactively
  • Ensuring technical and quality compliance across complex reinforced concrete and marine works
This is a hands-on leadership role with real accountability and visibility on a major project.

About You

We’re looking for a proven Site Agent with a strong background in heavy civils.

You’ll bring:
  • Experience delivering large-scale civil engineering projects in a Site Agent role
  • Strong expertise in reinforced concrete structures
  • Experience in marine or major infrastructure projects (desirable)
  • A track record of managing teams and subcontractors effectively
  • Strong commercial awareness and familiarity with NEC contracts
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance
You’ll be confident, organised, and capable of making informed decisions in a fast-paced, live project environment.

What’s In It For You?
  • Long-term role on a nationally significant infrastructure project
  • Full ownership of a major section of works
  • Exposure to technically challenging and complex engineering
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Strong pipeline of future projects and career progression opportunities
Why This Role?

If you’re a Site Agent looking to take on a flagship marine infrastructure project with real responsibility, technical challenge, and long-term career prospects, this is a serious opportunity to step up and make an impact.
