Shop Manager

Job Title: Shop Manager Salary: £29,000 per annum Team: Twickenham Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per hour Contract Type: Permanent Location: Twickenham Shop, 4BW TW1 About the role Your key purpose will be to lead the day to day operation of our brand-new Twickenham charity shop, a new and exciting opportunity to shape the success of a shop from the very beginning while making a meaningful difference to the families supported by Shooting Star Children''s Hospices. You will manage Assistant Shop Managers and a team of volunteers to maximise income, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain high retail standards. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing stock and donations, creating engaging displays, overseeing shop finances, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will also play a key role in promoting Gift Aid, identifying high-value items, supporting charity initiatives, and ensuring the shop remains a welcoming and well-presented environment for customers, volunteers and supporters alike. About you This role requires experience of managing a retail environment, including responsibility for sales performance, customer service, cash handling and health and safety compliance. You will have experience leading and motivating staff, with the ability to build strong relationships and create a positive and inclusive team culture.
