The Role:
We are seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support our ongoing commitment to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality across our operations. This is primarily an office-based role, with occasional travel to construction sites across Yorkshire, Manchester, and the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site audits, and inspections, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, producing reports and recommendations.
  • Advise operational teams on safe working practices, environmental responsibilities, and quality standards.
  • Deliver training and guidance on SHEQ topics to employees and subcontractors.
  • Support ISO and regulatory compliance, maintaining documentation and records.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor or in a similar construction-based role.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety legislation, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
  • Ability to interpret and apply ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills.
  • Willingness to travel to sites occasionally across Yorkshire, Manchester, and the Midlands.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and safety, environmental management, or quality management are desirable.
