SHEQ Advisor / HSEQ Advisor Weston-super-Mare – Field & Office Based
NEOS Engineering is recruiting an experienced SHEQ Advisor for a growing engineering and industrial services business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional to play a key role in health, safety, environmental, and quality management across multiple sites.
Role OverviewAs a SHEQ Advisor, you will provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to ensure safe working practices for employees, contractors, and visitors. You will monitor compliance, deliver training, and support operational teams to embed a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate hazards.
Develop, monitor, and enforce safe operational procedures.
Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, highlighting corrective actions where needed.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and audits, producing actionable reports.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, recommending improvements.
Deliver in-house SHEQ training and toolbox talks.
Review contractor and supplier documentation, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Monitor safe use, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances (COSHH).
Advise on fire regulations, occupational health, machinery safeguarding, noise, and other SHEQ-related areas.
NEBOSH Certification or equivalent.
Membership of IOSH (desirable).
Right to work in the UK and full driving licence.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
