Sessional Lecturer - Soft Furnishing

TieTalent .South Thames College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced lecturer to teach adult learners across different levels to ensure that they are able to achieve success in their Soft Furnishing course.Responsibilities

Deliver varied and effective teaching and learning sessions in which all members of the group are respected and able to participate.Develop course objectives using effective course and lesson plans designed to monitor learners’ progress.Identify and implement improvements in existing systems; maintain safeguarding and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.Qualifications

Substantial relevant professional experience of Soft Furnishing technique, with knowledge of fabrics, sewing techniques, pattern making and construction methods.Hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards it).Excellent level of computer literacy and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.Evidence of ability to work with adult learners across different levels.Additional information
