Service Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Part Time Service Advisor to join a busy, well-established service department in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.

• Competitive basic salary of -18,000 per year (pro rata)
• Working pattern: 8am to 2pm Monday, and 9am to 2pm Tuesday to Friday

Duties of the-Service Advisor:

• Greet customers and book vehicles in for servicing, repairs and inspections
• Advise customers on recommended work, maintaining clear and accurate communication throughout
• Raise and progress service jobs, ensuring estimates, authorisations and labour times are managed correctly
• Liaise with the workshop team to track progress and confirm completion times
• Maintain accurate records on job progress, customer updates and service documentation
• Handle customer queries promptly, professionally and in line with company standards

Requirements of the-Service Advisor:

• Experience as a Service Advisor within a franchised dealer, independent garage or similar environment
• Strong customer service skills with the confidence to communicate clearly and professionally
• Solid administration ability, including accurate completion of job cards and service documentation
• Good understanding of service processes, estimates and authorisation procedures
• Reliable, proactive approach with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
