Vehicle Service Advisor Vacancy in Bicester!

Our client, a well-established family-run commercial vehicle dealership group with multiple centres across Southern England, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Vehicle Service Advisor to join their busy dealership in Bicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in customer service within the automotive industry, particularly those familiar with commercial vehicles.

Benefits for the successful Service Advisor:

• Salary: -28,000 - -34,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
• Performance-related bonus: Up to an additional -4,000 per year

Duties of the Service Advisor:

• Ensure the smooth operation and profitability of the Service Department
• Deal directly with customers, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction
• Book vehicles in line with workshop capacity and customer convenience
• Identify customer requirements and produce accurate, fully inclusive quotations
• Create detailed job cards, estimates, invoices, and warranty documentation following manufacturer protocols
• Clearly communicate work carried out and identify additional sales opportunities
• Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure availability of parts
• Record and manage all work requirements accurately, including retail, warranty, internal, and non-chargeable repairs
• Ensure compliance with warranty policies and produce warranty job cards
• Promote the services and products of the dealership to maximise revenue

Requirements of the Service Advisor:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor, ideally within the commercial vehicle sector
• Strong organisational and IT skills; familiarity with Kerridge/Keyloop DMS system is advantageous
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Experience working with commercial vehicles or within the commercial vehicle industry is desirable
• A UK driving licence with minimal points
• Strong work ethic and customer-oriented approach
