Circa £54,000 (dependent on skills and experience)What you''ll be doing:Participating in the Naval Combat Systems integration Support Service (NCSISS), trials and assurance activitiesConduct shore and sea based trials as directed by the NCSISS management team, including: Linking, Integration and Acceptance trials and production of formal reportsTake ownership of task planning, estimating and dynamic management when allocated as task lead in order to achieve delivery milestoneUndertaking analysis in support of trials and recordings, and providing a suitable report with narrative to substantiate findingsKeep abreast of Combat/Mission System advances and major system changes in order to remain current and competentContributing in meetings, reviews and workshops as required by the customer and external stakeholdersYour skills and experiences:Essential:Experience of functional integration, systems trials and post trials analysisExperience in technical discussions with the wider team including external stakeholdersDesirable:Engineering experience in a defence related industryHands-on technical experience in systems engineering including hosting environments, IT networking and virtualisationKnowledge of current and future Combat/Mission Systems architecturesEngineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.
