Senior Supportability Engineer - Obsolescence

Location: Remote with adhoc visits to Bristol when requiredDuration: 12 month contractRate: 55ph LTD (Outside IR35) Role details: Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a Senior Supportability Engineer with expertise in obsolescence management to join their team on a contract basis. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Bristol as required, and spans a 12-month duration.Key Responsibilities:Operating in accordance with the ACC Project Obsolescence Management PlanReviewing and updating the Obsolescence Management Plan (OMP) as neededInvestigating change query issues directed by the Project Obsolescence ManagerPrioritising high-priority obsolescence queries and ensuring timely submissionsEvaluating and mitigating obsolescence risks aligned with IEC 62402:2019Compiling solution documents with comprehensive evidence for Support Capabilities and Consumables (SCC)Maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure minimal rejection of solution documentsJob Requirements:Significant experience in obsolescence management within the defence and security sectorUnderstanding of ACC Project Obsolescence Management PlansProficiency in handling change query investigations and prioritising issues based on urgencyKnowledge of relevant standards, specifically IEC 62402:2019Strong analytical skills to evaluate and mitigate risksExcellent documentation skills for creating comprehensive solution documents If you are a skilled ..... full job details .....
