This established and growing engineering consultancy based in Leeds, delivering innovative structural design solutions across a wide range of residential and commercial developments. Due to continued project growth, we are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a leading role on a variety of building projects, working closely with architects, developers, and contractors from concept through to completion.
The Senior Structural Engineer role;
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of residential and commercial building projects. You will lead technical work, manage project delivery, and support the development of junior engineers within the team.
Key Responsibilities of this Senior Structural Engineer role;
- Lead structural design for residential and commercial building projects
- Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, and drawings
- Manage project delivery from concept design through to construction
- Liaise with clients, architects, and other consultants
- Attend design meetings and undertake site visits when required
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Significant experience in structural design of buildings in the UK
- Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards
- Experience with structural design software (e.g. Tekla Tedds, SCIA, or similar)
- Chartered status with ICE or IStructE, or actively working towards it
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
