About the Role
A Structural Engineer is required for a permanent position in Leeds, with a negotiable salary plus pension and professional fees. This role involves working as a Project Engineer within a consulting firm, reporting to a Director. You will undertake both design and project engineering across a range of built environment projects. Candidates should hold a BSc in Civil Engineering and be actively working towards chartered or incorporated status. The position offers involvement with varied projects and clear progression routes. THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a STRUCTURAL ENGINEER to join our client based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm of consulting engineers who offer the right candidates interesting projects to work on and good prospects for promotion.
You will work as a Project Engineer and you are likely to be working towards becoming chartered or incorporated.
You will do design engineering as well as project engineering.
You will be able to work on an interesting range of projects for the built environment.
You will report to a Director.
THE CLIENT
Our client is a successful, growing firm of consulting engineers who are working on various projects in the built environment.
THE CANDIDATE
You will need to have experience of the following:-
You must have a BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and possibly also have an MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be useful although not essential.
You should have around five years or more post graduate experience gained with a firm of civil / structural consulting engineers.
You are likely to either be working towards becoming chartered or working towards incorporated status.
You will need good broad based structural engineering design experience as well as acting as the Project Engineer.
You should have used structural engineering software e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel and MasterSeries Retaining Wall.
Good experience in the use of Excel and TEDDS and experience of detailing packages e.g. AutoCAD andamp; Revit would be preferred too.
You must have worked in the UK for another firm of consulting engineers and have excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations.
You must have excellent communication skills - both written and spoken.
A full UK driving licence is required.
