NRL are recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to support the design of critical infrastructure on a major nuclear project. Based in Warrington, this is a 12-month initial contract (inside IR35) – ideal for experienced engineers ready to lead from the front in a regulated environment.Responsibilities
Design key structural elements – portal frames, crane supports, RC rafts, walls, and slabsGuide 3D model development and 2D drawing production with AutoCAD and RevitDevelop technical specifications and ensure design integrity through all phasesCollaborate across disciplines to deliver safe, buildable solutionsFulfil the Designer role under CDM RegulationsYour Role
Deliver and check structural designs to EurocodesLead by example and mentor junior team membersWork confidently with steel and reinforced concreteOperate effectively in a multi-disciplinary, regulated environmentYou’ll need to bring
A degree in civil/structural engineering (Chartered status preferred)Strong experience in steel and RC design – including crane loadingProficiency in structural analysis tools (ideally Robot), Revit, and AutoCADKnowledge of CDM and ideally some nuclear or industrial project experienceFlexibility and adaptability to thrive in a growing teamThe Details
