That''s really what this opportunity is about.I''m recruiting for a growing engineering consultancy in Nottingham that wants to add an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to its team. You''ll be trusted with your own portfolio of projects and given the freedom to take them from the first conversations and concept designs, through detailed design and ultimately onto site.And there''s plenty of variety.One month you could be working on an education or healthcare scheme, the next it could be residential, industrial, commercial, retail or leisure. There''s a good balance of new-build and refurbishment work too, with projects ranging from smaller schemes through to developments worth 15m+.This isn''t a role where Senior simply means producing more calculations, you''ll be the Structural Lead on your projects, coordinating with the wider design team, briefing technicians, attending client meetings and keeping an eye on programme, fees and technical delivery. You''ll still be designing, of course. Expect plenty of work with steel, concrete, timber and masonry, developing concepts, producing and checking calculations and reviewing drawings before they go out. Software-wise, they use Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds and Robot Structural Analysis, with IdeaStatica experience useful but certainly not a deal ..... full job details .....
