Position: Social Worker
Team: Duty and Assessment
Contract: Locum, 3 Months +
Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £37.50 per hour
Location: Loxley House, Nottingham City Council
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Hybrid working – Office-based during duty week (1 in 4), remote on non-duty weeks

About the RoleSheldon Phillips are partnering with Nottingham City Council to recruit a dedicated Social Worker for their Assessment Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive service where you’ll be working with families at the point of referral, undertaking high-quality assessments and ensuring timely interventions.
What You Can Expect-
Duty week every 4 weeks, allowing for balance and recovery time

Supportive and collaborative team culture

Well-structured management and supervision framework

Carry out initial and core assessments to identify the needs of children and families

Undertake Section 47 enquiries and contribute to Child Protection processes

Prepare high-quality reports for case conferences and court proceedings

Liaise effectively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children

Maintain accurate case notes in line with statutory requirements and local procedures

SWE Registration

Recognised Social Work qualification
-
Post-qualified experience within Assessment or Frontline Teams

Strong knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment

Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex caseload
