Senior Social Worker - Assessment and Intervention
About the RoleSuffolk County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a newly established Assessment and Intervention Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pilot team sitting within MASH, designed to transform how families are supported at the earliest stage.The team has been developed in line with the Family First Partnership Programme, with a clear focus on:Early interventionReducing escalation into statutory social work teamsSupporting families promptly and effectivelyYou will play a key role in standing up and shaping the IFD Assessment Team, helping to build a responsive service that alleviates pressure on teams managing high caseloads. Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days remoteHours: 37 hours per week (30 hours / 4 days considered)Rate: Up to 42 per hour (Umbrella) Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake assessments and direct work with families within a fast-paced environmentCarry out visits and interventions to support early help and prevent escalationWork collaboratively within MASH and multi-agency settingsSupport the development and implementation of this new pilot modelMaintain accurate, high-quality case recording and decision-makingContribute to reducing demand across statutory social work services About YouProven experience working within an Assessment and Intervention (AandI) teamStrong assessment and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, front-door / MASH environmentConfident decision-making ..... full job details .....
