A Senior Site Engineerwith experience in major civil infrastructureis required by a leading infrastructure contractor in UK to join their team on theiconic HS2 project.You will be responsible to control a section of the works according to a specific discipline including management of a team of Site Engineers within same discipline.You will based on the project in London.Responsibilities and Duties
Produce method statements and risk assessments and undertakes periodic reviewsPrepare and raise temporary works briefsUndertake accident investigations and conduct safety audits, mentoring junior staff along the wayCarry out complex setting out including primary controlInterfacewith the operations team, health and safety team and commercial team and sub contractors and the client.Produce activity control plans and inspection and test plans and obtain necessary approvalsMaintain comprehensive records aligned to theproject handover requirements and ensure team completes the necessary quality check sheets including non conformance reports,trackingtheir close outIdentify and raise RFIs and develop potential solutions, tracking their close out.Produce weekly programmes andmeasure progress against KPI''s. Communicate programme and target to teamMonitor as built programme and reportsDrive subcontractors to achieve agreed programme of worksMaintain accurate site records monitoring wastage against agreed KPI''sIdentify additional items of work raising the necessary notificationsWorking in close liaison with various stakeholders and identifying risk that may impact on the achievement of the programmeDesired Skills and Experience
At least 5 years’ relevant site management experience in civil infrastructure construction related projectsSetting out surveying using theodolite, level and total stationGood level of safety and environmental awarenessGood level of commercial awareness including contract documentation, scopes of work, additional work and record keepingAble to work on own initiative, taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarityStrong work ethic with flexibility work unsociable hours / nightsMust hold a valid driving licenseMust be a strong teamplayer with developed communication skillsExcellent command of spoken and written English.Good understanding on specifications, tolerancesStrong knowledge of the construction processQualifications/Educational Requirements
