Senior Safety Engineer

Our client, a leading provider of engineering solutions in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join their team in Basingstoke.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing project safety and environmental deliverables, including HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, and waste management plans
• Attending safety workshops such as HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, and SIL
• Managing and signing off safety actions
• Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
• Acting as Project Discipline Lead for projects, ensuring timely issuance of deliverables
• Providing technical support on HSE matters to other disciplines
• Conducting technical reviews of contractor documentation

Job Requirements:

• Experience working on energy projects, including oil and gas design projects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to produce high-quality deliverables on schedule
• Knowledge of UK regulations and standards
• Experience working to IFC and World Bank standards
• Significant experience in safety and environmental engineering
• Strong HSE knowledge and ability to prepare high-quality HSE documentation
• Ability to critically review the work of others
• Experience with site surveys and stakeholder engagement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with multinational FEED projects
• Highly collaborative team player, willing to develop and share skills

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
