Senior Research Fellow (Human Rights/Public Law Charity), CIVITAS RECRUITMENTSenior Research Fellow (Legal Charity) role with a national independent legal charity. The organisation works to ensure that individuals facing disadvantage can hold power to account and access justice. Its work spans legal research, policy, litigation, and training, with a focus on improving public decision-making and achieving fairness in society.This is a permanent role based in London, with flexible working options. Can be remote within England under the flexible working policy. The position can be full-time or part-time (minimum 28 hours per week). Salary offers include a cost-of-living uplift.Responsibilities
Lead and shape high-quality empirical research that supports access to justice and informs administrative law reform.Collaborate with experienced colleagues and contribute to a shared vision of a fairer, more inclusive society.Translate research findings into actionable policy or practice; engage with external partners and contribute to funding bids as needed.Apply strategic thinking to research design and dissemination to reach a range of audiences.Qualifications and Experience
Strong grasp of public and administrative law; understanding of barriers to justice for marginalised groups.Proven track record designing and delivering impactful empirical research.Experience communicating research to diverse audiences; ability to translate complex findings into accessible formats.Experience developing research-informed policy, working with external partners, and contributing to funding bids is desirable.A commitment to equity, collaboration, and courage; lived experience or prior work with marginalised communities is an asset.Employment Details
