Leading engineering contractor seeks a Senior Regional Planner to join their established team in London. The role will see you report into the Head of Planning and oversee the delivery of various projects in London and the South East. You will join an established team of 7 planning professionals and provide support and guidance to the more junior members when needed. This role offers an opportunity to work either on a permanent basis or on a contract (Outside IR35), contributing to major programmes in the Energy, Highways, Water, and Rail sectors.Key Responsibilities:

Preparing cost and resource-loaded programmes covering the complete scope of works as per contractCreating and maintaining a robust, logically linked, cost and resource-loaded programmeMaintaining client expectations from a programme point of viewEnsuring the team provides comprehensive programme updates and reviewing work before submissionWeekly updates of the project programmePreparing and submitting weekly site progress photo reportsCarrying out regular programme reviews and ensuring contractual obligations are metCarrying out impact assessments and presenting delay programmes, cause and effect programmesTracking progress through look-ahead site diaries and regular site visitsConducting delay and EoT (Extension of Time) analysis and forensic planningPreparing EoT programmes and 0What If programmes to support commercial submissionsSupporting the planning team with similar duties on projects nationwide as requested by the Planning ManagerImplementing planning standards on the project programmeEnsuring realistic programme logic and maintaining a programme log for all changesPreparing programmes and progress narratives for all updated programmesHighlighting programme concerns to the Planning Manager and project team and proposing mitigationsIssuing periodic Earned Value Analysis and SPI, CPIsCommunicating with clients and presenting programme information at all levelsPreparing tender programmes as requested by the Head of PlanningRecording and managing planning issues and escalating when necessaryResolving cross-functional issues at the planning levelIncorporating additional works into programmesTracking key dependencies and highlighting them on the programme regularlySupporting commercial management of risks and opportunities at the project levelFormulating and supporting new business initiatives, leading some as requiredJob Requirements:
